Child Care at Annual Conference
Grand Traverse Resort has onsite childcare. The Cub House is a licensed child care center through the State of Michigan. Because these standards meet our protection policy and are conveniently located, we will be utilizing the Cub House and The Michigan Conference of The United Methodist Church is not providing independent care. It is available for infants 6 months through 8 years old. Hours will be May 30 - June 2 from 8 am to 9 pm and June 2 from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Advanced reservations are required, and meals are included. For Cub House Reservations, call 231-534-6780 by May 10. After this date children will be added based on availability. Health insurance information and immunization records are required.
The cost per child is $8.50 per hour. If your child is in care for 10 hours/day, the cost will be $85, which includes meals. The conference will reimburse you up to $75 per child per day. Please get a receipt for reimbursement. You can complete a form for reimbursement at the Registrar’s desk before you leave. A check will be mailed to you following Annual Conference. This is available on a first-come, first-serve basis until capacity is reached in The Cub House.
The use of The Cub House is to allow members of Annual Conference to be present in sessions. The Cub House is not available and reimbursement does not apply to visitors of AC or non-members.
